Here's a spider I found in my house( it was dead when I found it, I try not to ever kill spiders, even giant creepy ones ).

I think it's a huntsman type. They are huge fast creepy spiders that exist to make me squeel like a little girl.

EWWWWWWWWW.....Glad it was dead.....soooo would have had to call Big V in to remove that...he won't kill them either.....just moves them to ANOTHER LOCATION....IN....THE....HOUSE!!!!!!!!! *shivers*

Huntsman bites can be atrocious I would spray my house if I found that.

Looks like a male Rabidosa hentzi.Cant count on the exact I.D.
But its definatly in the Rabidosa genus.
And if it was a huntsman the bites are not that bad were it would be medically significant.Unless it was a introduced species.Wich there are a few from Cuba etc.,that would leave a nice sized swelling.:cool:

Gives me the willies. That wouldn't have lived long if I had found it in the house. Outside = cool inside = end of the line.

I'm not sure what a Rabidosa hentzi is, it looks like a wolf spider to me. Is that the same thing?

Wolf spiders can have a nasty bite too. Im no spider expert but that doesnt look like any of the pics I see of the hentzi. Maybe im looking at old pics or something.

If I found that in my house I would not have to worry about killing it since I would have a heart attack I'm sure..... :)

I've gotten in the shower before, all happy hot water.. turned and there was one on the wall about 6 inches from my nose... squeeling and sitting on top of the shower curtain rod.. not dignified at all.

I like spiders. I never kill them. I just move them around to where they will be most useful. V-nette doesnt like it but my gang of 8 legged killers was very handy during the Fruit Fly Fiasco.

Pretty ballsy to go ahead and get a tarantula to try to get over it. And yeah those guys can live a VERY long time :D

Side note: When Stan Lee created Spider-Man he brought the story to his publisher who said "Stan, we cant print this. People HATE spiders! No one is going to read this!". So Stan managed to sneak the story into a book called Amazing Fantasy (A collection of different stories) pretty much against his publishers wishes. The rest is history.

EEEWWWWW Yeah he moves them to the LIZARD area.....Then he wonders why I really don't like going up there all the time...I never knwo what I'm going to walk in to....Even had one chillin in the shower.....I got soap in my eyes several times trying to watch him so I can hurry and get outta the shower....

See, I'm with Phil on this one...I am not afraid to admit that spiders flip me out above every other type of bug out there. I stick my hands in cricket cages, bins of thousands of mealworms and superworms, even play with the dead rats (live ones dont bother me either), but a spider - hell no!
I think it comes from being a little girl who lived in Puerto Rico (dad was a navy man), and we had this big cinder block wall holding up the back porch...there were too many times that my brother or I would stick our hands in/through the holes only to find a big tarantula sitting there on it's back legs ready to strike at us.
Yeah, I hate spiders. And as much as I agree with Phil, I would NEVER own one to try to get over my fear. That sounds almost as silly to me as jumping out of a plane to get over my fear of heights LOL
