My Sharp Albino female is looking a little thin today. Maybe that's because she just dropped a perfect 24 baby litter sired by our Motley male.

Ended up with 9 motleys and 15 normals all Het. for Sharp Albino. Would have preferred it if the ratio were reversed, but otherwise a perfect litter and mom and babies are all fine.

Thanks. I actually like the tail with squares all the way to the end on my Motleys. I will try to get some individual photos later... still cleaning mom's cage!

Sweet, but just to be difficult, I like those stripes better....LOL

Look forward to seeing the pics.... enjoy the goo cleaning session!

No problem. As you can see from last year's photos, our Motley has no problem throwing both squares and stripes... something for everyone!

Are you going to keep a male to put back to momma?

I'll probably keep 2 males ( I always ere on the side of caution) one of which will be bred to an unrelated Sharp female in my son's collection. We have the luxury of having three breeder females to maximize genetic diversity.

I may keep a female as well for a possible Paradigm Motley project down the road.

Hey Shawn. Have you ever produced a Super Motley and if so what was the result?

Thanks,
Dan

No. Never even tried for a Super Motley. To my knowledge, thus far they have lacked adequate muscle structure to make it into adulthood and have all died or were put down. I think they still may become viable with continued generations of outbreeding, and may try for some in the future, but have no immediate plans.

Thanks all. I was going to wait until they shed for pictures, but have had several requests from interested customers so I went ahead and took some photos. If you look closely, you can still see thee umbilical chord on most of them. There are 9 total, but one was just too feisty to be photographed! I only took pictures on the Motley Hets as all the others are "normal" looking.
