Either yawning or flexing her jaws for that next anticipated meal :D Neat shot regardless.

She is a funny eater. She was found in someones house. I was going to relocate and release her, but noticed she was blind in one eye (blown pupil). I figured that was why she was so thin, si I kept her. Sometimes she will pound f/t and other times she will only eat live (with lots of supervision from me).

I think she knows I am helping her. The Grey Rats are some of the smartest snakes I have.

Nice pic Jenea! I think grey rats are under rated... I had a pair of white oaks a few years back and they were pretty calm....

They are just so smart. They are the only snakes I have that "check" their entire cage everytime I open it, to make sure I closed it back tight. Had one figure out how to open up a critter keeper when he was smaller. They are smart, very watchful, and they study you.

They are smart! The female I had was kept in a cage because she could get out of any tub you put her in.....

This one pictured got out once. I looked all over for her and had given up. Found her curled up on the printer behind my desk watching me on the computer.

Nice shot... there's an advantage to cages vs racks. ;)
