View Full Version : I Hate CATS!
Passion4Pythons 12-30-2008, 01:40 PM Ugh, OK, long story short... some of you know about the cat missing, some dont so here goes....
On Christmas day, my grandparents came in (surprised us) and their 17lb cat took off out of the truck...
we couldn't find it ANYWHERE
They originally planned to head back to Arkansas Monday, but they stayed Monday because Sunday night a girl put a thing on craigslist that sounded like she may have Moses (the cat) i emailed her, she responded once asking for pics of Mos, we sent her pics, blah blah blah...Monday i finally messaged her on Myspace... she finally replied that she had found the owner, but neglected to tell us that...
Grampa left last night, frustrated about the cat... and the girl not telling us she had found the owner...
Heh...
So my neighbor calls my mom this morning...
he saw cat paw prints on his car (in the garage we originally looked in) looked around, and found the massive cat hidden...
Go figure, grampa is back in Arkansas....
So now, I am trying to figure out if it would be easier to find a foster home (mom is allergic) till they can come back down and get Moses... or yeah... idk what else...
Anyways...
so we found Moses,
and now the dilemma is to get him back to grama Siti...
ehm...
FloridaHogs 12-30-2008, 01:42 PM Poor kittie is probably scared!
Passion4Pythons 12-30-2008, 01:45 PM Yeah...
it'll be fine...
i dont think it has left its hiding spot much... the door opening prolly scared him back to his hiding spot...
all freaking weekend...
and had my grampa just waited, and left this morning like he planned....
he'd only be four hours away...
Passion4Pythons 12-30-2008, 05:18 PM Haha so they get back up to Arkansas...
Grampa realized it was really cold over there... (he had washed his truck down here and his back and knees didn't hurt)
So he is heading back tomorrow with the pull behind camper trailor :)
FloridaHogs 12-30-2008, 05:22 PM That is to funny Sara!
Buckskin 12-30-2008, 05:42 PM I'm glad it all worked out.
Mrs. Sputnik 12-31-2008, 01:28 AM Glad you found him and gramps is on way back
Funny, Grandpa's back and pulling his own home away from home. Good to hear that Moses has been found and all is well.
Alicia Holmes 12-31-2008, 09:59 AM Im glad it worked out!!!
I never let my two boys outside for fear of coyotes, or them getting lost, or hit by cars ( i live in a main road that is very busy!) I love them far too much. and i dont think they seem to mind... they have the entire house to wander in, or watch birds. and a sun room. :)
Wonder if ol' Moses will be as likely to go explorin' so quickly in the future. I'm glad everything worked out for all.

Oh i know!
The best part, is that he really liked where i made my dad take him to look at a couple re-po houses (we got grampa to go because we wanted to look at some possible investments for us... but it was mostly to show him the area) dad didnt wanna go out to Jay... but we did... and on the way up to the house we looked at... grampa goes "Oh, its hilly like Arkansas." and i was like "AND ITS WARM! DONT FORGET ITS WARM!" ahaha it was funny

ha, actually, it is his home... he lived in Texas, sold his place... got a duely truck, went on a road trip, and two states into it found the trailer...

yeah, Mos was aloud out at their place in Texas, cause he grew up there... and he was inside at night blah blah blah...
but they had a harness and leash for him...
grama took him out of the truck, on the lead...
i opened the door and the cat saw me... went under the truck... grama tried pulling him back, cat's leash got stuck under the tire... and he pulled out of the harness... and BOLTED. i've never seen a cat go so fast...

oh gosh... i hope not...
only problem now is this second cat they got - its a Manx Siamese... they got it while they were down here (grampa wanted a Manx again) but it bit him the day after he got it, and then yesterday after he got out of the shower the cat bit the back of his leg... so i dont know how much longer he'll be with them... he may go back on craigslist.

Must be the siamese in it. Manx are pretty mellow. But I may be a bit biased. I had a siamese try to eat my face off when I was about nine.

Haha.
yeah... thats what my grampa said, i guess he had one when I was younger... i think i was like 8? idk i remember the cat with no tail...
i just found out last night that my mom was afraid of cats - to a point...
when she was younger she had a cat attack a kitten she had, ripped her hand, her dad's hand, and the kittens back wide open...
its surprising she let me catch feral kittens a few years back with the neighbor haha... maybe she just didnt know at the time... lol
