So i got another christmas gift yesterday ^_^ a tattoo * small though* ( and another will be coming up on the 13th from money ive had put down on a tat that has been sitting there, waiting for me for ages and ages)

This new one is on the back of my neck, and i think, is pretty fitting for me being crazy as i am and in love with anything Miyazaki.

( Hayao Miyazaki, for those who dont know, is a Japanese animator that creates more epic versions of childrens stories. I wouldnt place them in the cartoon category so much as moving artwork. His works, BLOW American animations out of the water, and thats saying something because i truly admire the old style of hand drawn Disney cartoons. Its not only the worlds that this man, and his studio create, but the stories and the developed characters, from big and important, to small and very secondary to the story. every little detail is given thought.)

Anyway, This tat is Two Kodamas, sitting/standing on a tree :D from the movie Princess Mononoke.

Its my first color tattoo, and probably going to be my only one. My next one MIGHT have a more sepia tone to it, but no real colors like this one.

I also had white done, in the Kodama's bodies. You can sort of tell now that the redness has gone away. But i might have him go over it again, just to try and enhance it a bit. White dosnt usually take well on skin * dosnt show well, from my understanding* but i think going over it one more time, it might show up a little more, and me having such light skin.... i might get OK results :) Dunno though... im not a tattoo expert, so i cant really say.

My second tattoo is an older one that i got done at a different place, that i might actually have the guys at South County Tattoo ( In Great Barrington MA) go over again to freshen up the linework and such. This one is on my left shoulder. You can TELL the difference of the quality of the linework.

We have a nile monitor (Yeah, I picked a nile) sitting on a skull with a leather jacket in its claw and a chunk of meat hanging from its mouth. In the foreground hopefully you can see a human skull and ribcage. The idea being the hunter went after the nile but it didnt work out for him. The banner reads Morbid Tails a little play on words.

I have others but that one is easy to shoot.

I'm just afraid I'll get one then find this little thing wrong with it, and it's not as easy as taking an eraser to it. IDK I'm old school computer hardware and really I'd NEVER get a corporate logo put on my body, especially with ASUS and the bullshit I dealt with when I was involved in the computer industry [Their motherboards are no longer worth a shit]. I like ATI/AMD but still I'd not put it on my skin, maybe if they paid me to do it, but I wouldn't pay someone to do it to me.

Tengu, are essentially forest spirits/youkai that are mischievous and protectors of the forest, but their meanings, and appearances have sort of changed over the ages.

I Chose, specifically this design, because Hokusai is my most absolute favorite Japanese artist of all time. ( He does the "Great Wave" for those that might not be familiar with his works) and, to me, is how i feel Tengu look the best, but they come in many forms, and are said to be able to shapeshift as well, taking on a human form, with a very long nose.

Mine, my stomach was the first one that I got, it's covering the stretch marks from my two girls. (The two sea turtles) The foot bubbles are a memory type one, when the kids were little we'de go outside and blow bubbles when it was freeeezing cold, the bubbles freeze right away and you can catch them. The ankle is my wild oats, personal reasons.

Hard to see in the pics, and hard to see actually in person unless you know she's there. My tummy one has a gaurdian sphinx in the coral but you wouldn't see it unless it was pointed out.

Yeah...I've mellowed out some and let my ears shrink down to about an inch and a half. I'm not sure what size I'll settle on. Yeah, I've got lots more tattoos, and nope...no piercing thread. Hopefully, Shad will start a cover-up on my left arm this Sunday...we'll see. I've rushed into so many tattoos over the years, that I want to really make sure everything's just right for the rest of them.
