Sputnik 01-01-2009, 04:08 PM I have a couple of NSreptiles Incubators and use the round deli cups, the 9 inch diameter and 4 or 5 inches deep I think they are.... I can stack two rows of them and then put those elongated sterilite containers (Lunch box ones) down the gap that is left down one side. I'll see if I can find a pic... I can hold 11 clutches that way per incubator.... A pic would be awesome:yessir:...I've kind of been wondering the same thing as this will be my first year using NS...not issue of having enough room for me in mine. But as to what works best is what I'm wondering??? janeothejungle 01-01-2009, 06:10 PM I can get 9 of the 6qt sterilite tubs in there at a go. For an extra large clutch that gets stuck together before I get them, I go up to the 15qt if I have the space.... http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj217/janeothejungle/nsinc.jpg empty at the moment, awaiting the first run of 09. Cheers, Kat KMS 01-01-2009, 09:23 PM Casey used to make a wider version as well...Nice incubater and he is a good guy as well. Cheers, Kat Are those water containers in the bottom there? Also, mine only has 2 shelves I have a couple of NSreptiles Incubators and use the round deli cups, the 9 inch diameter and 4 or 5 inches deep I think they are.... I am not planing on puting any holes on my 6 quart steralites rjs73 01-05-2009, 04:41 PM I also use the 6qt. shoe boxes with four holes drilled into the lid , 2 on each side. I also use a small dish filled with water on the bottom in front of the fan to help with humidity. The ones with only two shelves is their newer model , I have both the ones with two and three shelves. You can still fit 6 to 9 boxes in the ones with two shelves ,you just have to stack them. I did that this last year with no problems. janeothejungle 01-05-2009, 04:51 PM Are those water containers in the bottom there? Also, mine only has 2 shelves I have an upside down bowl in the bottom to create turbulence and even out the airflow and one large water bottle in the very back at the bottom. Cheers, Kat Sputnik 01-05-2009, 05:17 PM Picture of mine empty, but you get the idea.... I can fit 14 clutches. I use the large deli cups stacked 5 high two rows back and beside those are the elongated sterilite lunch box containers from wal-mart. I can also stack a few small deli cups on top of the lunch box ones and put two eggs per small container. The dish on the bottom helps distribute air from the fan, we try to keep 2 or 3 inches of water in that dish which helps maintain a nice level of humidity. The deli cups and lunch boxes all have holes for air flow.... http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s189/Da-vault/Breeding%2008/100_6132.jpg rjs73 01-05-2009, 05:36 PM You must be splitting up the eggs to get them to fit in those small containers. I just leave mine together in a pile how they were laid. Sputnik 01-05-2009, 05:41 PM You must be splitting up the eggs to get them to fit in those small containers. I just leave mine together in a pile how they were laid. I can split one clutch of 4 eggs into the two small deli cups on top of the lunch boxes, otherwise I can fit 8 eggs per deli cup in the 5 stacks and 8 per lunch box. Which is a total of 108 average sized bp eggs... it looks awesome when it is full! |
