This card has the potential for some great fights too. These are my picks for what are the top 4 fights...

Dennis Kang def Alan Belcher by ko or tko. Its Kangs first fight in UFC but has tons of experience in Pride and Dream.

Marcus Davis def Chris Lytle by ko or tko. This has the potential for fight of the night. Lytle was a pro boxer but Davis hits harder. They both guarantee they will stand and band the whole time. Someone will get koed for sure.

Mauricio Shogun Rua def Mark Coleman. Not sure how he will do it but im really hoping Shogun is back to his old self. He was one of the best fighters in the world and was ranked #1 light heavyweight in the world at one point before his injury. I cant wait to see if hes back. Not to mention Mark is really getting old.

Dan Henderson def Rich Franklin by tko or ko. Henderson is ranked #7 middle weight in the world. He has had a hard last couple fights and I think this is his next big win. Franklin is ranked #9 LH in the world which is a JOKE since he has had 2 fights at LH and they werent against very tough competition.

Shogun is a very impressive fighter and I have always admired his skills.

I really would like to see fedor come over. Any news on what happened to Affliction?

Not sure other than one of the owners or managers flipped out and threatened some people including Randy Coture and his wife. Fedor is fighting Arlovski next not sure what promotion.

I heard Fedor was signed only in the states, but than he resigned a contract that made his connection worldwide. So I don't think that Couture fight will be happening anytime soon. Plus Couture has a restraining order against one of the old top execs of Affliction. When I went to Elite Xc some of afflictions fighters were on their card. Todd

That exec resigned. The fight with Coture will never happen imo. At this point I dont care either. Fedor is a joke fighting freak show matches, and just lost a Sambo match, and Randy is just getting to old. If this fight happened 2-4 years ago great but now who cares.

I agree Randy should move on...I love the guy and would like to see him retain his dignity and getting beat by brock suprised me but not that much. A man has to know his when its time...

Ozzy is supposed to be there at the upcoming one, Affliction: Day of Reckoning on Jan 24th. The way things have been going I wouldn't be surprised at all if Andrei won. There's a pretty popular video going around of him watching Fedor's past fights and writing stuff down on paper, would love to know what he wrote down.

Most unsure about Henderson vs. Franklin and Coleman vs. Rua. I think Henderson is the better fighter but if he tries to kickbox against Franklin I think he'll lose.

Rua is the better fighter between him and Coleman, and Coleman is getting old, but if Rua comes in out of shape he'll have his hands full.


Also, I've mentioned it before and got no interest but I think it would be fun to have a BLBC fight camp at www.mmaplayground.com, it's a site you make your picks and wagers for the events and get points and fake money. It's a good time to sign up since a new season has just started and everyone is back at the $1,000 starting amount. I could be the leader and start up the camp or someone else, doesn't matter to me. I'd prefer that Larry or BT start it up since they run this site but maybe they don't have the time or interest.

I agree with all those picks except I think Henderson will take that fight. I would join the fantasy thing if it got started.

So I went ahead and made a fight camp at mmaplayground. It's not forum specific so I'll be trying to get people to join from other forums I visit, as well. I named it The Herpetoculturists since the shortened name "herpers" usually make people that aren't in the know think of herpes, as well thinking that name may get people to take a second look and maybe even search for it and read about herps (wishful thinking).

So I invite anyone with interest in MMA to join up. If you just want to come and pick the outcomes of the main fights and will skip events completely here and there, that's fine with me. Even if only a few people join it can be fun. We can also see our rank among the other camps, you can see that page by going to the "Stats and Data" page, then to "Fight Camp Directory."
