Man I love these Lavenders. Can't wait for them to grow up. The female will be sick at 200+ grams.

Pardon my ignorance, but those are both lavs? Will the redder one stay more red as it ages? Sorry, I've only looked at them here, I don't have any and just watch what is posted here on them, the color change is amazing...

Personally I think the grayer one will probably turn more purple and the redder one will do who knows. LOL! I could be wrong and maybe the red will turn more purple. I can tell you this: I'm excited as heck to find out.
The father of these is very red and his belly is almost completely orange. I think the parents will have an effect on what visual lavenders will look like. I'm already planning to breed the male to really dark black green females in hopes of getting a deeper purple lavender.

news to me ,i thought lavs were more like a really light anery. Most seem to turn into what the original lavs look like (purple grey). They seem to do some drastic changes over the first year of life.
Personally I'm really liking what these things are right now. It can only get better.
Greg, thanks for the info!! Really looking forward to seeing the update pics as they change!
