Took the girls to the trout Hatchery for a little "Catching" it's really not fishing! LOL! They always have a blast. Heck I love it!

After all the "catching" they like to feed the fish.

My son has out grown the age restriction for the hatchery so he and I have been fishing the river. Here is his trophy Red band Rainbow! I'm very proud of them all.

Eric, looks like lottsa fun even if it is only "catchin'" :D

We just lost an amusement park here in town with a trout "pond" in it a couple years ago. It was expensive but the boys loved it when they were younger. I get steelhead/rainbow trout and chinook salmon in the river behind the house in the spring and fall though. So if we want em all we gotta do is make the effort. :D

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I'm very happy they all love fishing, in an age where video games are the norm they'd rather be fishing!

@ Scott Oregon is a must see, we live about 20 miles south of Crater Lake and the water is tidy bowl blue, it's really an awe moment.

@ Pete Fish hatcheries are an awesome way to get kids excited about fishing, heck I get excited. We live a 1/4 mile from the Williamson river, nothing taste better than those cold water fish!

Hey I am all for 'catching' I am pretty much purely a bass fisherman so everything is released. I fish at least 3 days a week.

Every once in a while Ill catch some fish to eat that's always a blast too. But beating the banks, walking all the way around the lake or wading all the way down a creek for a few miles is so much fun and easier if you are not trying to tend a stringer or basket while you do it.

Awesome times man.
