I was wondering in a breeding season how many copulations do you look for a month from your males?? Also how many copulations do you look for before a female is gravid?? I know pair them up until ovy, but I was looking for a number of copulations from past pairings that resulted in a gravid female..?? Any help from the officers will be appreciated!!! :master: :master: :yourock:

I have had females ovulate with just two locks -- I've had others that will breed several times a month and not go. I aim for at least two pairings for each females a month. Just to make sure there is fresh sperm in storage and hopefully keep them from absorbing - I'm told once a month is sufficient.
It is said if you have an ultrasound or are really good at palpitating them then you can just wait until the follicles are of optimal size (don't ask me I don't know) and one or to cops should be enough.

What is optimal size?? I have felt quarter size follicles in a few of my girls..

They are still growing, Keep pairing them up until you see an ovulation. Then you know she took

I try to see at least three lock ups! I usully keep pairing until girls are swollen!
I've had 3 eggs from a single copulation months before (oops)
