Was browsing the net and found this pic.. Looks to me like a hypo or some morph/locality?? of pilbara, but I'm no expert on these guys. They are probably my favorite species of monitor so I thought it was really cool. What do you think???

(Sorry pic is kinda small...)

They are nice animals for sure. It's possible that it's a polygenic look based generally on the parents, but that's within the natural variation I've seen in the species.

Cheers,
Rob

Yeah, I would love to get a few but I have so many other things going on right now I just haven't really had the time for them. I will have to get some in the future though.

Yes it's the intelligence that really interests me. My all time favorite monitor would have to be a perentie but for now I think I will go for the little guys. lol They remind me of mini velociraptors.

I've got blue trees and waters as personal pets, so to say, and pretty much you name it at work. I personally love the waters for their relatively calm demeanor when worked with as well as just being wicked smart. They are hands down my favorite. I've also got a couple of pairs of ackies, not so much with them. Smart, yes, calm, no. The trees are skittish but at least not psycho like the ackies, lol! Savs are my number two behind the waters, and I've actually had some amazingly nice niles, although those were the exception.
