Does the amount of white in the sides of your snake control the amount of white in the babies or is it random.

My spider is almost pure gold with very little white in it. I might want me a nive High white male too.

I did a breeder loan with a friend last year - his high white spider to my reduced pattern normal.

We had an almost equal mix of low and high white spiders, although we had been told that reduced pattern normals tend to influence the amount of white to the low white side. I don't know the validity of that, however.

I'd be interested to hear if it's random like the amount of white in a pied is.

I love low white Spider crosses. I've gotten high and low whites from the same clutch. I think it's random. Just my opinion.

Well, I personally prefer a nice high white spider. I think it'd be interesting to see what could be achieved with selective breeding of spiders to spiders but I think people are more focused on the spider combos rather than breeding spiders together to try to achieve certain results (high-white, low-white, reduced pattern, crazy pattern etc.....) It's certainly something that I would like to try in the future since spiders are one of my all time favorite morphs :rockon:

Is low-white = hi-yellow? Or does low-white also include the non-speckled?

Personally I prefer hi-yellow (low-white?) to hi-white but I think that all spiders in general are a great morph. Have one myself. Maybe tomorrow I can post a pic or two.
