Hello,

I would like to start breeding Hog's. I would like member's opinion, as to what genetic color and pattern mutations, should a beginner start with if money is the issue? Would a single male and two females also be a good start? I would say, I could invest around $1,000-$1,500...

A anaconda and some normal females, or a recessive male and some het females?

Easiest to get started with morph wise would be albino male, and some het albino females. This should leave money left over for all the supplies and food you will need to get them set up properly (and the supplies you will need for housing the babies when they come.)

I agree... Get yourself some quality albino stuff and racks/thermostats to house hatchlings... Do all the reading you can and learn from the various hog breeders on this and other sites... Detting their husbandry down before attempting to breed them is always a good idea... If their husbandry is not right, you will most likely not get any viable eggsor eggs at al for that matter...

I have albinos up for sale and there are breeders like Brent Bumgardner, Louie Chavez, Greg Bennet, Ozz, Jess from Geckobabies and Dustin Dodge and a couple of others who are on this site that may be able to help you with both... I know Jenea hatches some killer looking normals... No collection is complete without high quality normals...
