I do not think it is a matter of fear, so much as safety. I am the only one in my family that handles the reptiles. There is no way I could ever have an animal that size and take care of it safely. It is a beautiful animal, just one I will have to admire in other peoples collections. So in essance, it is to much snake for me as well. Sorry if you don't find that constructive, but it is truth (at least in my situtation)

LOL I see it a different way. Roomy would love to have one, and I don't have a problem having a big snake. Its the size of the poop I have a problem with. I shovel enough snow here in MN, I draw the line at using a snow shovel to clean up snake poo!

Shrink her down to 6 ft and I'm all over it.

When I worked for Belcher, we got in a 10 ft albino burm. I had to pull it out because he's scared of the big snakes. As soon as yellow & white cleared that bag, 6 ft of fat ass ran into the other room and left me there.

In short, I admire the colors and patterns and will Oooo & Ahhhh but i can't see myself taking care of them by myself. Its already been proven to me ( note story above ) that I'd be left on my own.
