Hey Guys, William in NY contacted me about doing a trade / cash deal for my Silver Bullet. The offer he made is fair but the way he wants to pay me the cash is odd in my opinion.
He wants to deposit the money directly into my bank account, instead of putting the cash in the box with the snake or using paypal.
However I am not willing to give him my account number, only my name and address.
I hate to question anyones integrity and honesty but unfortunatley thats what the world has become.
If any one has done business with William please let me know.
I do not have a last name.
Any info would be appreciated!!!

Then it's your trade deal - you set the terms. Personally, I would not do business this way.... due to the amount of scammers who want account numbers and that is all they need once they have your full name.

Not accusing anyone of anything - just stating my stance if I were in your shoes.

In order to wire transfer you have to give your acct # and routing # .
That has in the past in the dog/cat world always been the safest way and the fastest way to get your money . The second it hits your account..it is available to you as cash .
I have never heard of anyone getting ripped off in all my years this way but I can understand your fear .

I have on the other hand heard of people getting ripped off through pay pal , cashiers checks , of course personal check and even money orders .
Postal money order seems to be the safest imo .
Well hand to hand cash is better if you feel safe meeting the person face to face .

Thats exactly the way I was thinking. I do not share my account info with people.
I am also not accusing as you see in my original post. Just seeing if anyone else had done business with him and if he approached it with the same thing wanting to put money into your account.

TFS, its not a wire transfer, he wants to take cash into the bank and deposit it directly into my account.

That is a little strange . I would not do that .

Tell him to stick a postal money order in the box with the snake or forget it.

We spoke shortly ago, and he agreed to put the money in the box with the snake.
We will see, I will let everyone know how the transaction ends.

I have sold to William before and he deposited cash in to my bank account, no problems. Its a bigger risk for him then it is you.

That puts a positive on this deal for me, since a blbc member has recognized him.
I would have to disagree that he's at a bigger risk. Giving someone your account information when they have your name, address ,phone #, ect could potentially wipe you clean. Unfortuanltley fraud happens everyday in this country.
