quality serpents 09-20-2011, 11:04 PM Nice. That is what life should be about. Just remember, when you promise her you're going, don't back out under any circumstance. Even if she says she understands, it will affect her. You need every good memory you can make. Keep up the good work making her smile.

And she thinks you're just fishing... (love that song, sweet truth)
Great shots of a lovely young gal.
Awesome. My family is always fishing. My parents bought a lake place when I was 7. Those are the great memories of fishing contests and learning to filet! She's a lucky girl!
Gregg M 09-24-2011, 02:45 PM Thanks for the comments everyone.
The funny thing with the bass is, she was catching sunnies and want to catch a big fis like daddy... LOL... So I changed out here dough balls for an old banjo minnow I had with my gear. Her second cast she said she had something. I thought she got snagged up. LOL... Then the bass jumped out of the water.
She fought it for a few minutes, dragged it to the shore and stuck her thumb right in its mouth. I was very proud. I am just happy it wasnt a catfish... LOL...
The bass was 2 and a half pounds and the biggest catch of the day... Now she only wants to go for bass and crappie. And the only reason she still wants to catch crappie is because she thinks the name is funny... LOL...
Thanks again everyone...

I definitely remember going fishing with my dad when I was that age. Keep her involved with it, it's a great way for kids and parents to spend time together for sure!
