I'll pass that along..:yourock: Varanus99 01-07-2009, 06:19 PM I kept a group of these for several years. Both CRBs and BRBs. The biggest trick with these guys is humidity. They dry out like an old in the sun. I would go with a substrate that holds some moisture like our ever lovin' crypress mulch. And keeping them in a closed cage or a somewhat closed cage would be a good idea. A rack would be good, a solid one with no screens. Or something like a Boaphile cage. If a fish tank is used I would cover the top with plexi. Another option is a humidity hide. Just a simple box filled with moist spagnum moss and a hole cut in the top. They love that. Aside from that its pretty much standard boa stuff. Oh, and they are little nippy. Some are a lot nippy. My CRBs were hell on wheels. Good eaters, though. Thanks Bro!:yessir: constrictorkeeper 01-07-2009, 08:28 PM jas V is right on, i had a pair in '87-88 that were of the "sometimes nippy" variety. they'd be cool one second, then before i know it i'm watin' for one to let go of my upper lip(mustache fetish that one had...). good hardy animals if the humidity is there. good luck, ck Rapture 01-08-2009, 02:21 AM Keep them humid and don't over cook them. More like medium as opposed to well done... |
