There's been a surge in purchasing across the country, rumors of a drastic ammo tax... any comments?

Haven't heard, but I know there is a fear of heavier restrictions with the new canidate. At least around here there is.

He's got better things to do than worry about our ammo. A 25 lb. bag of of lead shot cost $12.00 in 2002. This last spring it cost over $25.00. I didn't hear anybody blaming the republicans.

Follow the money. Who's profiting from the increased demand for ammo. Maybe they started the rumor.

I was not talking about the ammo, but about gun control. People seem to be "stocking up".

OK lets talk this out. Why raise taxes on ammo?
To raise revenue for the government. No .
Maybe there trying to make gun ownership more difficult. Or maybe they want our guns altogether.
Come on people.
There are people who would love to ban guns totally. But it's not politicians. At least not ones that want to be re-elected. There are three things I believe are true about Politics.
1. Politicians want to get re-elected.
2. The easiest thing for a politician to do is Lower Taxes .
3. The hardest thing for a politician to do is Raise Taxes.
Just ask Bush 41. lol
I love guns, politics, reptiles and the BLBC

Sounds like it would be a nightmare for law enforcement. One of the reasons toy manufacturers make squirt guns and toy guns in bright neon colors is because cops were accidentally shooting kids with realistic looking toy guns. Now they're making a real gun that looks like a toy?

Fashion accessories, I remember a few years back they started with some of the pistol grips and then moved into the entire frame....

I agree. The wrong somebody could take a fatal hit . I think making them more appealing to women is a good idea actually, but turnin' em pink is just a BAD idea.

I'm all set. I buy by the case.

Yes they come in purple and other colors. It makes me crazy. You should see the rifles aimed at women buyers. I'm expecting paisley or perhaps designer ones. Gotta get that Coach one to go with my purse. :nono:

I agree. Some idiot here a couple years back robbed a store with a pellet pistol. When cornered on the freeway he actually pointed it at an officer. He's no longer with us.

Lock it up or keep it on your body. My daughter grew up around guns and thankfully was never curious about them. We did show her at an early age what they were capeable of. Shooting watermelons and gallon jugs of water. Living in Detroit she also had a couple classmates die from gunshots.
