I have used Cobra heat mats from T-Rex and I love them. But I hear that T-Rex is possibly going out of business. Regardless I am having a hard time finding the cobra mats. I have found the Ultratherms and they look very similar and are cheaper. Has anyone here used the Ultratherm mats and if so what do you think? I am using them for plastic tubs to house boas. Do you need a thermostat for them?
Thanks,
Dan

I have used alot of Ultratherms. I do put them on a thermostat. I use them below my atb cages and also all my constrictor Northwest cages.

Cool. Do they work well for you?

I have had no complaints. I have had some working for a few years. I tape them to the underside of the cages. Sorry about delay with answering. Next time just pm me

I've used them too. Great product, but I would definitely put them on a themostat. The snakes tell you right away that they get too hot.

Great info. I think I will hook them up to the heat mat thermostat on Amazon. When I get my big permanent cages I think I will get a Helix or Herpstat.
