So I'm super freaking psyched tonight! My girlfriend decided that for her first snake she wants to get a black blood:wamma: (and yes this is the same girl that told me a few months ago that she didn't want ME getting any new snakes lol). I think it's awesome because I've always wanted one myself but I'm trying to stay more focused on the ball pythons right now. So we went up to NERD this afternoon and Kara helped her pick out a beautiful baby boy. He's a nice black headed baby with a beautiful reduced pattern to him and he should darken up really really nicely as he gets older. He's a really really calm baby too, one of the other ones that she had out kept on trying to take a chunk out of anybody that came near lol but her little guy (she wants to call him Optimus Prime :D) never even flinched.

Kara was awesome, as always. She answered all the questions that Nicole had for her about the bloods and even brought out one of her 9 year old females so the she could see just how big they can get and let her hold her.

So, we've got a month or two before he'll be coming home (she had to put him on a payment plan, just because she didn't have the cash all up front) so I told her that in that time she has to get everything together that he's going to need and read up on all the husbandry requirements they have.

He'll be staying here at my place so it's obviously a very snake friendly environment and he should fit right in. So no pictures yet but I'm sure there will be plenty once he gets home. He actually looks a TON like the sumatran that she has up on her forums, I think it may actually be a picture of him :) check it out!

Lol you know it Jenea :). Well she's always saying that the corns and the kings make her nervous because they are so skinny. I don't think she'll EVER have that problem with a blood! :lol:

Thanks Alicia, I bet they are related :) He looks pretty close to Scar just with a bit more black to him. Scar's gonna be a pretty boy when he grows up!

We'll definitely be blowing up the Swamp Snakes forum with pictures when he comes home. I'm an idiot and forgot to take some last night but hopefully we'll get by NERD soon and get a few.

You know it Big V!!! Now I just have to decide if I want to let her into the madhouse that is the BLBC :lol: She's definitely one of a kind though, I just love how she's done a complete 180 from "I don't want you getting any more snakes" (which I of course ignored and got more anyways :lol:) to, "I want my OWN snake!" It's really cool for me to see that she's getting more and more involved in my world and my passion (God I hope this doesn't mean she's going to expect me to go watch chick flicks and shit all day lol)

Lol yeah I'm definitely looking forward to that one! My girl was trying to tell me tonight that she was just going to let me do all the feeding and cleaning up after him. I just said "awwwwww hell no!!!!!!!!! That's all you sweetie." :lol: she's not just gonna get to have a beautiful little snake and not have to do any of the work lol.
