Hopefully someone can answer my question...

I am looking at buying a go-phone to replace the phone i currently have...
I have done it before, so i know it generally works...

But the phone im looking at getting (Pantech Slate) is not a 3G phone... yet, my current phone is.

My main question is this - can i use my 3G sim card in a non 3G cell phone - and if so, do you think i will have problems with the non 3G phone - such as call problems, texting problems... or anything else really....

I asked on AT&T's forums, and someone answered with this
Yes, as long as it's not an ancient phone it'll work just fine. Pantech Slate will work with a 3G SIM card without a hitch.

I just wanted to see if anyone on here would know... and be able to verify this :)

Thanks yall!
-Sara

The quote from the AT&T forum sounds right, the way it was explained to me that if my old phone was over 2 years old then plan on having to reenter all the stuff and plan on paying the reactivation fees for the new one....
