NoahHart 01-11-2009, 03:13 AM That looks more like the twisting they do right prior to laying when they are getting the eggs into position.

You just made my night!!! I sure hope she is bro.. I'll shit my pants if I get eggs from her... Nice pic by the way.. So how long was it she went into post ovy shed after she started laying like that??
Alan
NoahHart 01-11-2009, 03:16 AM Alan that is way after POS. If that is what she is doing in the pic it is literally hours before she lays. Yours does not look like that.
jknudson 01-11-2009, 03:17 AM Congrats Alan!
ShawnT 01-11-2009, 03:28 AM I took that picture on 6/03/08 and she layed 7 eggs 6/09/08.

Coldthumb 01-11-2009, 05:05 AM She's still building then right...
Alan
Yes...Unless,you missed her pre-lay shed..(In which case you also missed the ovulation as well.Which was anywhere around 10 to 20 days before the shed)
Once the pre-lay shed is completed you can start looking for eggs after 26-28 days,or more.
Either/Or,...you have eggs one the way! Congrats!
grunt_11b2007 01-11-2009, 05:07 AM Sweet!!! Thanks for the help fellas..

Larry 01-11-2009, 04:04 PM What an awesome sight to behold.. Good job getting her done.
I love breeding season..
sdreptiles 01-11-2009, 11:43 PM Most of my females I have found them laying like this 7 to 10 days before laying. I have some males and females that will do it if they are fed a big meal. If my females have been bred, like I said I dont see this until 7 to 10 days before laying. I dont always get a picture of it. I did get one picture last year of one female laying like that.
