Not sure if this would be the right section or not, but I was wondering if anybody was working with any Mangrove snakes. Thanks, Nick

Yep I have a group. I can get WC to live I can get them to thrive. I can get them to breed. But for some reason the eggs will bubble when almost ready to hatch. A lot of people have had the same issue. This coming season i am going to try some new things.

amngs are fun though. Most important thing is water and hides.

are your animals relatively calm ?
back in the early 80's my buddy had one that we used to handle without gettin' tagged. wondering if that's common for them. love the big scales, like an indigo but with yellow added for flavor.
good luck this season.

I have found that the 2 to 3 footers tend to calm more quickly then the full out adults.

mangs are funny though lol

Now I do not recommend doing this at home with all mangroves. But over all they are not that bad. They do have a nasty three finger toxin though. They only lack the delivery system.

An adult may not have to chew much but they still have fairly small rear grooved fangs.

I have been bit twice once a chew and once a defensive bite. Meaning bite and release.

Little harder to find but they are out there. My buddy imported a hypo last season not sure what happened to it though.

If I ever can hatch one of these thing it would be great lol

They are great looking snakes! I remember years ago seeing a picture of a albino that was being offered for sale and that was off the hook! Lemon yellow and purple.......
