Does anyone know the specifics behind how the phantom gene interacts with mysics of a different blood line. I have a rdr super, which will only produce phantoms, my question is how then do I get super crosses? Do I need another rdr phantom or will any phantom do? I also have a phantom potion that was produced by two phantoms from two different lines (nerd and an unknown). If I breed phantom crosses from my super to my potion will I only get potion crosses or will I get super crosses? Lastly if one has a potion (phantom x mojave) will that produce itself or will it act as a super as well? Sorry for all the questions and thanks for any help.

if you cross phantom to mystic or another phantom you will get supers.

BEL complex genes are on the same allele, so you could only get super phantoms and potions/passions from that pairing. The hard part would be trying to guess which is which.

exactly. they all are allelic genes and therefore act as super.

breed a mystic potion to a super phantom and all u get is 50% phantom mystics (which look like super phantoms/super mystics) and 50% purple passions (mojo phantoms).


a super potion cant exist. its just as impossible as a lesser mojave mocha lucy. 3 allels of the same gene on one lokus isnt possible

Thanks guys! I figured such. Just a little worried about how all the different blood lines would match up; since it doesn't appear to matter (assuming all are phantoms) I will look forward to some fantasic crosses.

I don't understand how you get a potion from two phantoms.... someone slipped in a mojave into that mix if you have a potion. I bred a RDR Phantom to a McCain mystic this year and got a super mystic phantom that looks just like a Super phantom. Look at my homepage for a picture. www.myballpython.com

I just sometimes call one of my supers a potion because I do not know the blood line of one of the phantoms. After hearing all theses comments about mystics and phantoms all producing supers I will now only refer to my supers as supers.

Thanks for the pic looks just like my rdr super (she is at 1000). I agree with the labeling. . . I guess it is always best to be clear, even tho they r pretty much the same snake. R u working on any super crosses this year?
