Hey guys,
When you guys tape the probe to the heat tape on your rack systems, are you guys putting tape on the head of the probe and also on the heat tape, or do you tape the neck of the probe on your rack so no tape touches the probe or the heat tape?
Also what kind of tape do you use to hold down the probe?

I put the tape directly over the probe in direct contact with the flexwatt.
Good luck.

I use a high heat aluminum tape. You can find at any big box industrial store.
You can tape it down with the aluminum tape and make a little folded piece to prop the tip up a fraction as well .

I've found that packaging tape also works well, and it's just as much a pain to get off as aluminum tape if you want to remove it for whatever reason. :D

I tape mine down with aluminum tape.
I have found I need to turn my temp up a couple degrees higher on my thermostat to get the desired temps.

I've used scotch tape forever with no problems at all. Takes a couple of layers to secure it, but it comes off if you need to move it.

Wouldn't the aluminum tape insulate the probe a little better than packing tape would?
I use aluminum tape on the flexwatt with it pretty well covered

I tape it down with the aluminum flexwatt tape and I also have noticed that I have to turn the temp up a little to get the desired temperature. I use a temp gun to check this. Its the way to go. Good Luck!

I place tape directly on the probe and tape it on the flexwatt
