Anyone know of anywhere to get cheaper water dishes. I know some may use deli cups, I don't really like that. I know its simple but it will drive me crazy. right now I use pyrex ramincins and the hatchlings tip the water every other day. My pyrex 2 cups work great for my older balls but not enough room in the hatchling tubs

I get most of my water bowls from wal mart nowadays. Go to the kitchen section where they sell dishes and you will see a few options that might work. I pick most of my bowls up for around $2.25. May not be the cheapest route, but its the easiest for me.

I use disposable 12 ounce cups for my hatchling tubs. There's about 3/4" between the top of the cup and the top of the rack, so there's no way for them to tip over. For adults, I use 16 ounce cups placed inside a 4" PVC coupler that is close enough to the top that it also cannot be tipped over. I replace them every week and recycle the old ones.

It might be more expensive in the long run over buying cups and cleaning them, but using disposables not only saves me a ton of time and energy, it also eliminates the possibility of not disinfecting a water dish well enough and spreading disease. That alone makes it worth it to me.

We're a bit all over with waterbowls at the moment...everything from tupperware, to delicups, to dog bowls  Trying to figure out what we like the best.

I did find some heart-shaped glass dishes at the dollar tree for $1 a piece. Just wish they had round or square ones. :\ We will probably go the Deli Cup with PVC Coupler route & switch them all to that. ~

This is very very similar to what I use in my hatchling tubs. I found packs of 6 for $4 at Ross.

Needless to say I bought all of them and I've never had a hatchling tip one over.

I got the ceramic crocks small and large from the dollar store and they work great.
