View Full Version : Flexwatt question
Gabrial 01-26-2012, 01:40 PM I wired some 11" flexwatt, and I have it running in a hatchling using a Herpstat. So here is my question: I can hear an audible buzz where the wires were soldered, and I believe it was an ok solder job, but I could be wrong. Is this a problem?
Gabrial 01-26-2012, 06:49 PM I don't know what this means, but I unplugged the flexwatt from the thermostat, and plugged it directly into the wall, and that made the buzzing sound stop.
Gabrial, Jeff Washburn at Helix support@helixcontrols.com helped me so much. He is a very knowledgeable guy and has always been very helpful to us .

That's what I got from a Google search, but I just wanted to make sure.

Haha, maybe.
I contacted Rich at RBI earlier, since I bought the tape from him, and he said that it has to do with this kind of proportional thermostat, and the higher you set the temperature, the quieter the buzz gets.
Off-topic, but do you think you'll have any blood hatchlings available later this year Trevor?. I might be looking for some, and would love to get them from someone local.
2kdime 01-27-2012, 06:48 AM I do!
I have had a couple ovulations already of some pretty exciting stuff!
I'll shoot ya a PM when I get home from work and let you know what I am expecting.
