It really is all a matter of Preference and Opinion...

For YB Buy a proven Ivory Line.

Besides that do your shopping and buy animals that best exhibit the characteristics you like about each morph...
If you like Blushed out Pastels...Look for Highly blushed Pastels
If you like Dark Contrast Pastels...Look for Dark Contrast Pastels
If you like Clean Reduced Pattern Enchis....Loook for Clean Reduced Pattern Enchis
If you like Busy Patterned Enchis...look for Busy Patterned Enchis
If you like Dark YBs...Look for Dark YBs
If you like Light Crazy Flamed YBs...Look for Light Crazy Flamed YBs

Look for the best examples of what you like and selectively breed them to produce even better examples of what you like.
In the end everyone has different tastes and opinions of what is better.

It's very true. Everyone's opinions vary so much.

As an example, I went into a friend's shop [ sells only ball pythons ] & found what I consider to be a gorgeous pastel neonate. She was bright yellow, with a reduced pattern, & what pattern there was was very "black" & her head was so blushed out it was almost white.

I went around asking everyone in the shop [ about 14 or so people ] whether they liked that pastel, or another. [ the other pastel was more brown, but had more blushing on the black, & a bright yellow belly ]

It was 50/50 between the two.

Everyone's tastes are just too different...go with what you like. Really, it's hard to go wrong with any of the proven lines tho. ~

i honestly think there isnt something as a bad snake. it just comes down what u wanna make with em.

take for instance pastels- if u wanna make a bee u look for one which is really light colored and clean patterned- no blushing no dots.

if u wanna make a pastel crystal u better breed a dark pastel with reduced patterns to a mojo because light colored pastels make pastel crystals look like albinos without red eyes.

its the same with everything. u wanna bred axanthic bumblebees u search a light colored axanthic- u wanna bred em into black pastels and u search a darker one.

u wanna make lesser cinnis u search a darker colored lesser with a black back and a reduced patterned and a brown black back cinni. u wanna make lesser pastels and u search a really light colored lesser and light colored pastel with lots of blushings.

the same with patternes- u wanna make a queenbee u search a clean patterned lesser pastel without dots and reduced patterns- u wanna make lesser pastel calicos and u search for the wildest lesser pastel and calico u can find.

thats just my idea of breeding tho...

therefore to me there isnt a good or bad- just good for one project and bad for the other...

I like Ken Macek's line of Enchi he is working with. All the babies are insane.

Yes, Ken produced my male. It looks like there is another gene making these enchi's glow. Some looked like they had cat nose markings. Ask Ken, im sure he could describe them better. All I know is that they produce some killer looking enchi's.

So is that male from a different line of enchi from Lars' line of enchi?
