Picked out a baby ackie at random tonight and decided to harass him. He got weighed in. The last time I weighed them all and they were all 10-12 grams. This guy is now up to 19 grams. Groovy.

He is a yellow ackie put seems to have quite a bit of red on him. Rumor has it that this group might be crosses. I dont know for sure and they do change a bit as they mature. But he sure he purty nonetheless.

Chubby fella, aint he? :D

I worry about that so I always make sure there is MORE than enough food to go around. They arent all that big but they are all fat. Some may grow faster than others and I believe that males grow faster and are more bold than females. I keep a close eye though that everybody is getting their fair share.

I keep them in small groups of 2 or 3. No more than that. Its easier to track them in small groups. If I see one guy lagging behind too much Ill seperate him into his own cage so he can catch up. So far with this clutch thats not happening. They are all pigs. But if one of them slacks off he gets his own crib.

Groups of 2 to 3 is the way to go, much more manageable.... funny little guys, who needs a TV with them?

Yellow females average 15"-20" and males 20"-24" or thereabouts. Most of the ones Ive seen tend to stay at the lower end of that range. My largest male is probably under 20". But he still has some growing to do.

Its not a huge lizard by any means. But its a good size, its no freakin' anole.

If you ever feel the need for some ackie lovin' just holla. I got you covered. :D

The adults are rumored to be crosses. They look like straight up yellows to me but who knows they may have some red blood in them from down the road.

No complaints. The little guy is pretty.
