I've now seen this tossed out a few times here. In my opinion, if you have to use a forum where selling animals is prohibited to move your animals, you should not be producing them. In my town, trying to move morphs by pretending they need to be 'rehomed' is the mark of scum (Phil Hoerner, anyone?) and tells me everything I need to know about you. I don't know what the demographic that lurks on CL looks like in your area, but quite frankly, these are not people I want my animals to go to.
To be clear - I am not referring to the occasional pastel or spider you see listed from some yahoo who only has the one snake and got tired of it, etc. I am looking specifically at those in the hobby who breed at least 2 clutches a year and should know better. I mean, C'mon dudes, Seriously??

In California I used to sell on the Recycler.com classifieds...it was quite a bit classier than craigslist...
I totally agree about most of the people on craigslist...I'd be afraid to buy from the majority, let alone sell to them...
Now that I'm out here in rural Colorado, I do wish there was an alternative to craigslist...it would be nice to sell animals locally, normals, etc. who's price really wouldn't cover shipping...

Craigslist is a good resource.. but you have to be alert and aware of possible scamming, just like everywhere else.
The people that use CL to sell their multiple clutches of morphs, those are just being cheap as far as I'm concerned. It's against TOS to sell animals on there, and they are circumventing the rules to sell for free, instead of paying to sell on a reputable site, or joining a site to sell, and building a good reputation.

alot of scams on craigslist also so i wouldnt buy one from there. posting a reptile on craigslist trying to rehome it at market value is the work of scum in my opinion. i usually flag the ones being rehomed at market value and most of the time they are all from the same breeders.

I used Craigslist to place my normal males in good pet homes. I placed them for free - but those who responded to my ad had to satisfy me that they were prepared to have a ball python and that all their questions were answered.
I had a lot of responses and did have to weed through the ones that you could tell just wanted a free animal and couldn't even put together complete sentences - "yo, I have a bp and a red tail - I want a free snake - call me...."
I simply responded to those and thanked them for their interest but that they had all been placed.
I posted the exact text of the ad when I first joined here in the discussion about what you do with normal male hatchlings.

The DC craigslist is probably one of the scummiest when it comes to reptiles. We have a large group of people who call themselves "rescues." We also have some of those folks who "rehome" spiders and pastels for "fees." There is never a shortage of people who beg for free reptiles on a daily basis. I can't even look at that site anymore.

Selling anything on Craigslist is hard enough as it is, you get a million replies only two or three people who return your emails after the initial one. I sell all my reptiles ( not the ones that I breed, the few that I have to get rid of) BUT I did sell a spider ph albino for $750( Didn'T have papers so I priced her as just a 800 gram spider but told the buyer what she was) and it took FOREVER! Craigslist just isn't a good place to sell at. Granted I could not ship at the time and it did buy me a lesser...from you...
:yourock:
What im trying to say is I cant see someone selling clutches of snakes there, unless they have a lot of time on their hands.

Kat, I think I know someone you may have seen posting on CL. This person does also post ads occasionally on kingsnake, but he must not be getting any interest.
