Hey I have an 08 female that hatched. She is yet to take a meal. I noticed yesterday when I tried feeding again. She has a sore on her head. Not really on her chin a bit back. It looks like a nose rub kind of. I was wondering what I could put on it to help it heal faster. Also what should I clean it up with. Its not bad just a little rub looking sore. Any help on this would be great. I just need to know what I can and cant put on it. What I can put on it so it does not get infected.

Any help would be great.

Can you post some pics? That way everyone can see what you are talking about and be able to give some better advice.

Certainly get it washed off as best you can with warm water. You can literally just stick her under the faucet. Just make sure the water is warm and not hot.

You can apply some Neosporin directly to the wound. Make sure it is the kind of Neosporin WITHOUT the pain reliever. The box is clearly marked as far as which is which, so you should not have any issues getting them mixed up. In case you dont know what Neosporin is, it is just a triple antibiotic ointment that they sell at any drug store. It is for cuts, scrapes, rashes, burns, etc, for people. But works like a charm on animals as well.

Also, I would keep the little booger on paper towel if you are not already doing so until the wound heals.

Ok thanks, I keep all my babies on paper towel. I have some Neosporin already just wasn't sure I could use it. My camera Is dead need to charge it. So no photos at this time. The sore is just a little spot. Like the size of one of the scales on the underside of the mouth. I think the scale is missing. It is a little scabbed up that's about it. It looks like she just rubbed it raw. I'm not sure what she could have rubbed it on since everything in her tub is smooth. But thanks again for the help.
