Just picked up a couple herpstat pros a couple months ago. So far I really like them. just wondering what everyone else uses/prefers? Any pro's and con's to either?

I use a herpstat for my incubator and the only issue I have had with it was when the power went out and I had to unplug it for a few hours to get it to reset. I haven't used helix mainly because of the maintenance part, had my fun with that and the wafers in the hovabators.

I think the Herpstat is by far the better product. And you cant beat Dion's customer service.

I currently have a Helix running my two racks, but ordered a Herpstat II yesterday so that I can control each rack seperately. I've read a lot of good things about Herpstats and it seems like they have a lot more bells and whistles. The Helix will be moved to my incubator and eventually to my next rack.

I have a herpstat pro and love it. It works great. I highly recommend it.

I'm a helix man, if its good enough for Ralph, it's good enough for me.

I use Helix and Herpstat, when I set up a bator this last season I decided to try out the Herpstat to see how it works. I'll likely switch over to a Herpstat Pro eventually, and keep my Helix as a backup.

I've used Helix for my proportional t-stat needs for the past 4 years, but I just ordered a ARS rack and after talking to Brian, decided to go with a Herpstat.

Herpstats or Johnsons here. Dion has customer service second to none.

I got my Herpstat II all set up yesterday running two seperate racks, one I've got my breeders in and the other I've got my '07s in. Love all the features so far, I've got the nightdrop set for the breeder rack and can keep constant heat going to the smaller snakes still. I also love the plug in probes with the nice long 10' (I think) cords.

Herpstat all the way.... had a ranco fail recently, first time in 7 years, but I want one of the herpstats that you can run 4 different racks on different settings..... can't beat that!

Right now I am using Helix's and Ranco's. I need to buy a couple more thermostats though, and all new ones will be herpstats. I plan to buy a couple of the herpstat II's or 1 or 2 or the pro's. Being a programmer, their internet based alarms and monitoring really appeal to me. I'd really enjoy being able to monitor my temps and racks from anywhere in the world.

I have Herpstats...2 regulars, 5 ND models and 5 pros! Outstanding product!! I haven't had any issues when the power goes out. When the power comes back on, all my Herpstats are running with all settings intact like nothing happened.

Herpstat!

I have several other types here, and the JC are fine for larger racks, but I have a herpstat on my incubator and my hatchling racks as well.

I use Helix and Herpstats for my racks and I like them both. I really like the way the night drop works on the Herpstats. I use a dual Ranco on my incubation room and it seems to work very well for that. If I was going to pick the one that I like best, I'd pick the Herpstats. Just my opinion.

Thanks,

I have Helix, Herpstats, and Ranco. I like the Herpstat pro with the features and being able to run four different racks with one unit. A Helix is pretty smooth also. I like the Rancos the least I think.
