NHRA kicks off this weekend in Pomona! Got the dvr set and got my tickets for Bristol already! We hit a few others in the area for the day but the Bristol race we stay all weekend at the track. Cant wait to hear the roar of the engines and smell the NITRO! If you have never been you owe it to yourself if you like motorsports! Something about 7000+ hp making your eyes rattle.......

:yessir: I love going to the drag strips....Burning tires gotta love that smell as well :yessir: I try to get to Cecil County Drag Strip when I can.... I'd love to go to one of these other ones though :rockon: I use to have a couple muscle cars but nothing close to that HP :)

If you go to Cecil County you are fairly close. I been there a few times to watch one of my buddies run his Pro Mod Willis. Pretty decent strip! Since they closed our local strip most go to Mason Dixon in Hagerstown.....

NASCAR aint got nada on that! I took a buddy to the races last year who had only been to NASCAR and told him it would be loud! He told me I was full of it but after he heard the first one go he said it was louder than the entire NASCAR field......lol

Where I'm at here....and they race the big stuff I can hear them here outside..I'm about a good 30-35 minutes from the drag strip..Not so much lately though as there is more noise with more housing all the time though..

Drag racing is freaking amazing my dad and I use to follow them around the west coast. Pamona, Vegas, AZ, and somewhere else dont rember. But when a car goes by it creates like a 2.2 earthquake on the scale. And plus the Nitro its amazing i miss it very much. But they go 300+MPH its just mind blowing. Larry you should check it out man. :yessir::rockon:

We lived about 4 miles from the Houston Raceway park and it was crazy when the nationals came around. Our windows would shake when the big boys ran. Nothing quite like the smell of nitros to burn your nostrils.
