Well after all the compliments I received on my Diamond Jungle Jag I've been debating breeding my carpets this year. Any tips from some of you experienced carpet breeders is appreciated. This will be my first attempt at breeding them.

This is a great topic. I'm going to try carpets this year too.

I'm sure not the Carpet expert but what I did with my JCP's last year was - Cooled them down starting in Oct...Ran one male between two females - Keep feeding the females while they bred (The male stopped eating)...I tried to get two copulations for each females once a month...One female ovulated in Jan - The other in Feb...Eggs come a little quicker after POS than BP's and both clutches hatched on day 48 cooked at 89F...Mine bred great and I found it pretty easy to be honest...The 1.2 that I bred were all 2 1/2 years old and right around 5 foot...Good luck -

Thanks for the advice B.T

What size of clutches did you get from your girls?
