Can anyone tell me where they get there cypress from?

I dont buy cypress mulch. But if I did I can easily get some at my local walmart.

I get my kamlar (http://www.kamlar.com/KamSMplaycyp.html) stuff from a little local place now.

Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, Plant Nursery.....

The biggest thing is to just check the bag to make sure it's 100% cypress, you can call the number on the bag if it doesn't list it to find out....just try to stay away from the raw pine that they like to add.

I got some at Home Depot and it had cedar in it!

I switched to Lowes Florida cypress.

The plants that make the cypress mulch are right around here in the Carolinas... And I can't find any pure cypress anywhere.... Everything is that blended stuff... I don't know about using that... So I've stuck to paper towels and aspen.. I would love to use cypress but just can't find it... I talked to the guy at Kamlar and I'd have to buy a half a tractor trailer load just to get it delivered....

I have heard good and bad, a friend that used it for a while had some of his snakes with problems after being on it a while. I have 5 adult BRB's and I am wanting to put them on something that will hold humidity better than aspen or paper.

African Beast, maybe T-Rex ships some to South Africa if you have other T-Rex products there. Cypress mulch isn't widely distributed in Spain either but I managed to get a hold of some T-Rex Cypress Bed bags. If you're looking for humidity I'm sure you'll like it. If not, then don't bother.

I lucked out completely that a local garden center gets it or I would be in the same boat....the rep at kamlar was able to give me a short list of places.

Given that they don't list all the wood used that wouldn't surprise me at all.

Know for sure the stuff at Home Depot is a mix, not 100% cypress. I called the number on the bag just to be sure and the gentleman told me it was too costly to make bags of 100% cypress. I did appreciate his honesty.

Each Home Depot carries mulch however it is not always made by the same company please check before you buy Lowes is the same way however walmart ships in very large amounts and they usually sit there for months and its just awful inside the bag both walmarts by me each have over 400 pallets right now of mulch in general, Depot gets there mulch weekly and is typically fresh and not allready decomposing. Sorry I just prefer Depots never had a problem

What is everyone paying for a bag of cypress and what size bag as well? I bought some at a local pet store "Keepers Choice" and paid $22 for a 40 quart bag.

I just found a local garden center that charged $5 for a 2 cubic ft. bag. Its a pretty big bag. Thanks for everyone's help.

As far as I can remember it's probably about $20 for shipping.

I just talked to a rep from Sims Bark, they sell GardenPlus Cypress Mulch. It's 100% cypress, but the blend they sell isn't of course. Hubby got it at Walmart or Lowes, not sure which.
