Ok here's the deal.

I have millions of lobster roaches. I have so many that every few months I cull them back. And it seems like a waste.

So I was thinking of offering them to the BLBC members who might want to start their own colonies.

Here's the rub. Ive never shipped insects before. Can they go through the post office? I believe they can but not sure. I dont want to get into a big mess trying to ship these things.

Also Im curious if there would be any interest. Trust me you'll be getting a phenomenal deal. I dont even know what the going rate is but I do know its super low. They are pretty close to crickets now in price if I dont miss my guess.

Just chummin' the waters and trying to get a little info.

I would assume since I get my bugs priority mail that you should be able to ship them without issue. I'd be happy to take some off your hands as well.

Yes you can ship USPS but their overnight rates have gone up and if the UPS thing works out well then that maybe another option to explore.

Just if you do go USPS tape the living hell out of the lid, they are treated like regular mail and not like a package.

I raised and sold roaches on a large scale for about 5 years. As long as you are careful about the temperature then you will have no problem shipping USPS.
Overnight or Express isn't required, just send them priority mail. It's cheaper and they are at no risk of dying due to the extra day or two in transit. I shipped many tens of thousands in hundreds of shipments and only used overnight two or three times at a customer's request.
They can stand cooler temperatures better than hotter temps. I always ceased shipping entirely from about mid June until mid August, especially orders going to the south or southwest, and shipped sporadically during the winter.
If you plan on shipping them on a regular basis, I'd suggest getting some deli cups for bugs from Superior Enterprises.
