smilin-buddha 02-21-2009, 07:11 AM I supplement with tons of table scraps. My mother brings me over lots of left over bread, tortillas, hard boiled eggs. Chicken bones. As far as stuff I buy. I get a regular bird seed mixture and have added a non-medicated chicken feed. Todd
I have used a little peanut butter for females to increase their protein intake. I have also given seed to them.
Varanus99 02-21-2009, 07:34 AM Mainly rodent block but I give them pieces of whatever Im feeding the roaches. So they get apple slices, potatoe, collard greens stuff like that.
Sometimes if Im feelin' froggy when Im in the pet store Ill pick up a package of those seed bar treats. They go nuts for them.
Jah Luv 02-21-2009, 06:01 PM Thank You very much will try those items ..

Hhahahah:lmao: Are you serious?
My Rat/mice breeder feeds his 2 acres of rats and mice a special formula he woops up and puts them into pellet form. He told its mixed up of corn grain and something else. Couldnt remember. I do know he adds protein to his reciepe. Ive been feeding my Bps these rats for 10 years and because of this they have a nice healthy growth spurt. Im guessing that extra protein is like a steroid.:lmao:
I guess this is the reasons why my snakes throw water bowls instead of biting:lol:
JOHNS6068 02-22-2009, 06:39 PM I have given mine....Peanut butter, Table scraps, Bird Seed, and Cat food
grunt_11b2007 02-22-2009, 07:23 PM I don't supplement anything... I keep mine in a climate controlled building.... Heater in the winter, AC in the summer... They love it... Breed like crazy.... I think I'm going to build some more racks and try and supply some of the local snake guys and maybe some pet stores...

Larry 02-22-2009, 07:29 PM I don't do any supplements either...
anendeloflorien 02-22-2009, 07:30 PM I supplement with a mix that I make, got the recipe from one of the people on bp.net . It's basically peas, lentils, peanuts, oats, some cereals, a couple good dried fruits and dog food. I just like to spoil my rats  but they always have healthy babies and the snakes are definitely happy!
Jah Luv 02-22-2009, 07:37 PM Thanks For all the replies..they went crazy for the peanut butter..

WestCoastJungle 02-22-2009, 08:01 PM They get some dog food, greens, veggies, old popcorn, they love old spagetti right outa the box. My wife spoils them so mine are pretty healthy.

Jack?
Chris 02-22-2009, 10:03 PM Jack?
No not Jack. My guy lives right by me. Deep down on the tip of florida. In the redlands;) Thats all I can give out. If you know Homestead, you know who my guy is:)
Ive been feeding my Snakes his rodents for 10 years now and I love the results I get. Smilin-budda are you from Fl?
smilin-buddha 02-23-2009, 06:11 AM Yeah I am in Wpb. If you mean Homestead I know of the guy a buddy used to buy from him. I usually breed all I need and a little more.
Cornball 02-24-2009, 08:38 AM I give mine some produce twice a week. They really like it.
I have always heard black sunflower seeds, the type you would feed to birds. Other than that I actually used to go pick field corn right off the stalk and throw a few cobbs in the bins.
I don't do any supplements either...
Me either...Hell - I feel guilty now...LOL
smilin-buddha 02-24-2009, 11:13 AM I figured that if I was going to throw it in the trash or it was just scraps. Might as well use it. The have dined on old chicken wing bones, muffins, old bread, more than a few turkey carcasses. I hate to waste stuff.
