I think it is bad ass and hope if turns out not to be something goofy and really genetic.

No idea really, maybe traffic but I think the boa forum gets some movement in it to so really no clue...

I would love to see more pics of it, just those eyes mainly for right now...could be a really deep red hypo but if those eyes are really red then it is a hole new ball game.

I know there were hypos in europe over 3 years ago but haven't seen any pics of them and there was something about them being only females or some crap, can't really remember now but would be cool to see some morphs coming out of them.

Dumeril's are one of my favorite snakes so this really excites me. Does anyone here keep any Dums?

I got a pair that breed got one still born and a handful of slugs last year so hopefully I will get some better results this season but nothing as nice as that carmel...

Hey, why don't you guys break down the husbandry requirements on those for me. Anyone know a reputable dumeril's breeder that frequents the Columbus show?

They're often likened to red-tails because of their relation, but IMO, their basic husbandry is similar to ball pythons; i.e. ground-dwelling, fossorial constrictor with temperature/humidity requirements similar to that of BPs...just caging on a larger scale. [Females average 7-9 ft, while males rarely get to 7].

Now as far as the details of actually breeding them, I'm not too savvy on just yet. But I have found them to be the perfect choice for anyone wanting a large, hefty, but still manageable constrictor that is not as "mainstream" as BCs, carpets, or bloods without the high prices of womas and blackheads.

Well let's see, mid 80's hot spot, lots of space to burrow so deep bedding, going to need some serious room later so plan ahead.

Breeding I light some candles for them to set the mood...

Really just put them together killed the ambient at night and they did the rest.

They can get fat since they don't do much so you need to watch for that.

Simple for the most part but one of my favorite eaters since they attack with such force.:letsparty:
