well i call up a local pet store to find if they had rats to my surprise their breedings rats so that means they have pups. but for 1.75 a piece wow but i need them so i buy anyways. while the guys in the back i start looking at his animals so i come across an emerald so I'm looking and i start seeing the poor thing blowing bubbles first thing came to my mind was RI so i tell the guy and his reply was shes kind of old so she going down hill then he began to tell me that she doesn't digest her food all the way saying how he still sees bones and other things in her poop here's my thing she had a price tag on her and what if i didn't know what to look for but thanks to forums like this one and wanted to buy he would of sold me an ill animal I'm thinking her heat wasn't high enough what do you guys think...people like that need to just give go buy some stocks or something.... :machinegun:

Thats crazy. You should of cursed him out and told him to take that animal to a vet. Crapping out half digested prey is a big problem. I wouldnt even buy those rats from there. His unresponsible care for his animals might reflect on the rats.

yeah i was looking at the rats i'm scared now the rats had very small red bumps on there stomachs what do you think man...

All too common in pet stores unfortunately. Most either don't know or don't care that most reptiles need more than a heat lamp and a hide to be healthy and then they wind up sitting with them for months and getting sicker and sicker.

unfortunatly ive found alot of pet stores like that, and i agree there should be stricter people checking up on these pet stores unfortunatly there isnt ive found some really bad stuff over the years and i always want to buy them and save them but i dont buy them cuz you just keep them in busness i refuse to purchase stuff from those places and even when you tell them there animals are sick and gonna die they just dont care.

I never said I buy rats there. Thats just how much they sell them for.

They also sell all mice for 3.49 (even pinks and fuzzies).

Lol...believe me, I switched to breeding them at home and f/t a long time ago.

its 275 a mouse here and even more for rats i went to f/t its deffinetly working out beter
