I use Tylan ( Tylosin ) dosed at 50 mg per kilo of body weight directly under the skin every 3 days for 9 treatments.

stay the hell away from the vet and follow mccurley's indications and dosing.

scott michaels seems to have a good handle on RI.
he would actually be a great guest for your show, really knows his :):):):), he was a dvm, and really knows his balls.(probably as well as you know your balls !)
and, to make BT happy, is really workin' to hold up bp prices.
i can hook you up with him you if you're interested.
he's a real great guy and shares experience freely.

let me know if you're interested, he really would be a great guest

I boost the heat and do a round of Baytril for RI's. Can't give you dosages, since my RI's have been smaller animals and I get a diluted medication.

The only vet I have ever used is Scott Stahl and he is a hell of a guy! I am lucky to say that I have never had to treat for a RI and hope I never do! That is why I stick with my old melamine racks I guess......

I am with Jenea. I have only had to a couple times wth rescues one being an adult BRB and just used heat and Baytril.

Never had to treat a ball for RI, a few years ago we lost power in the winter for a day and then some and a few boas didn't fair well even with meds but the BP's I just cranked the heat and all were fine.
