A ball is a ball -- pick a color you like and go with it

I know not very helpful but the real answer is very dependant on your budget, what you want to do with it - do you want to pick up a breeding project, a whole mini collection, just a pet to see if you really like it .....

'course, where you're located, i wouldn't recommend a snowball, you'll never find the dern thang if it ever gets out...

didn't see this response when i posted mine.
pick a morph you like, and either get it, or get the ingredients to make it.

Just be careful on the first one you pick...A lot of them out there carry a virus that causes you to end up getting more then one  Seriously though just go with what you like is what I would do :)

I'd say given your answer -- a couple of nice female co-doms if you can afford juvies or adults or somewhere in between cool if not babies work just as well. While you are raising them to breeding size put away some money for a really killer male to pair them with.

Im in the same boat my man. I just got some balls. What everyone is saying is right on the money. Pick what you like.

I can tell ya what I did. Well, actually V-nette did all the work Im just reveling in it. I really like bees so she got me a female spider and a female pastel. Its a good idea to get your females first so you can grow them up and then get your males. Of course you could get them at the same time no biggie but if $$$ is an issue you can get a female now and a male down the road and be ready when its breeding time.

Id go for morphs. I wouldnt get normals. Thats just me. I know a lot of folks have some really nice normals that they pair up with their co-doms but if you're only planning on having a few (like me) I think it just makes sense to have all morphs.

I'd suggest a pastel. Its an ingredient for so many different things and you can get a beauty for a reasonable price. Then for a mate you gotta pick what you like. If you like bees get a spider. If you really like yellowbellies go for some pastel yellowbellies. Whatever.

Ive been thinking about some het pieds. Dont really wanna drop the coin on visual pieds but you could get a pair of hets without breaking the bank. Then maybe produce some pieds someday.

Just throwin' some idea. :D
