Well I was feeding the snakes last night when I found this girl looking like this.

I knew it wasn't a stuck shed so as you can imagine I started to panic. I wasn't sure if it was some form of mouth rot or some kind of infection. After finally wrestling with her for a couple minutes I was able to hold her head and wipe it off. Looks like it was only urate dust on her face so she is fine. I just wanted to share this so someone else dosen't have to go through the stress I did last night when I first saw her.

I would have freaked out too. Thats really weird. I wouldn't have thought that they would like to dig around in their own pee. I am glad you posted this in case it ever happens to anyone else.

LOL -- I had a similar situation this week -- I was spot cleaning cages and noticed the chalky white substance on one of my snakes faces - made mental note to go back and clean it -- but the there it was on another and then another and then another -- 6 in total. I started to panic thinking it was some kind of mutant fungus that was spreading through the collection -- but nope after cleaning it was apparent that for whatever reason this week they just all decided to play in their poop.
