Well I had a blast this weekend road herping for the first time! I tagged along with a couple friends who are seasoned in road and field herping. (We had a permit to do so down here in Texas.) We spotted 7 atrox and caught 5. I hooked one and picked up 2 with tongs. We saw all of them within a shorter than 2 hour time frame. We were an hour or so South of San Antonio. Sooo much fun! Sorry for the crappy pic!

Will be a weird question if it isn't but is that the screw on lid from Midwest Tongs on the bucket? If so, do you like it? I ordered one recently but haven't had the chance to use it with a snake yet.
Really cool picture!

Yep that's the right bucket. I just got one of my own and haven't really used it yet but it seems to work great. Definitely better than a conventional lid for the purpose of transporting snakes.

most chlorine buckets have screw on libs......they are easy to clean and air out...just remember to drill your holes from the inside out...... i have used these buckets in the field for years, much more convenient than a hot box....
