SAMHAIN 10-10-2008, 11:57 PM Thanks bro! I tell ya it scare me to cut early with the Retics because they are so weird to breed. So much left to do in the captive breeding of this species but I figure my wife and myself have maybe 40 years or so left to figure it out LOL
When I get these Super Dwarfs bred you and Larry are gonna be on the list for some ;)

JoshJP7 10-11-2008, 05:55 PM This year will be my first year with eggs and I dunno if I have the juevos to cut em. I dont want to slice my first hatchlings because every one counts for me in the first year.

Really depends on what your comfortable doing...The majority of the people I know who cut - Cut at day 50 - 52 with their eggs cooking at 89F...I usually cut at day 49 but have gone as early as day 45...Just don't butchers them and don't mess with them too much after you cut them and see what's inside...

jknudson 10-13-2008, 07:40 PM I'm a cutter. First clutch ever, and it was a secret to me (Pastel female X Lesser, Spider, Cinny, and Pastel Males)... So I had the itch on day 55 to cut, I did small windows, and a few days later hacked them open a bit further...:D

Cornball 10-13-2008, 09:57 PM Nice photos of snakes still in the egg. I just started cutting this past year. I think I am getting a better hatch rate.
Love that Pewter Jason...
sdreptiles 10-14-2008, 12:16 AM I cut all my eggs this year at day 52 or 53. Im going to start cutting at 55. The ones I cut this year stayed in the eggs for a few days. The eggs started to get a bit funky before they came all the way out. All hatched fine 100% healthy and all. But going to wait a few more days next year.

And I'll likely cut any clutches this year too.

Yes he is a Silver Bullet. That picture was taken on 3/30/08. The one below was taken on 9/6/08. As you can see the only way you can tell an older Silver Bullet from a Super Cinny is the Silver highlights on the sides down to the belly. If all goes well he will be a Father before he is a year old. LOL
