Drove down yesterday in hopes of catching some of the sandhill cranes during migration, bad weather and the flu wasn't helping the picture taking but figured I would post a couple that did come out okay....cloudy as hell and it just wouldn't clear up. The link has a video of the fall migration where you can see up to 20K worth of birds on the land so this fall you can bet we will go back to see if I can get some real pictures.

Didn't go walking the mile trail through the wetlands to see if I could find any herps since the weather wasn't cooperating but I was fortunate enough to find this rare find.

Saw about 30 of these out in the fields since we were there before sunrise or lack of.

Hopefully I will be able to get back sometime this summer to see a few of the birds that hang around through the summer with some decent shots with some real light...
