When fed to snakes , they either can't expell it either or they get hit with toxic poisoning as the feeder dissolves. No , red dye is not good. shrap 10-24-2008, 06:17 AM Red dye #40 is a known carcinogen. The FDA has banned it for use in human food because it does cause cancer. But they still allow it to be used in pet food. Go figure. Used long term on your feeders and they will develop cancer at a much higher rate than normal. As well as large benign tumors that will cause other health issues. Stay away from it. |
