Yep...just another log in the fire of our hobby's funeral pyre. It's sad for the woman and her family, but at the same time, she shouldn't have been handling a snake that size on her own.

that all you tough guys out there with your first big constrictors need to learn from. (now before we get me a slew 'a Hate-posts, i'm not talkin' to the experienced handlers out there who know that they're always one twisted-snake-brain-cell from death at any given time, and take all necessary precautions every time they handle the big'uns so as to avoid a cold finish to the days activities) no, not you guys.
i'm talkin' about all the real geniuses who don't or can't fathom the intense holding ability of the steel-stranded-grip beast that can take you to task ANY FREAKIN' TIME IT FEELS LIKE IT. i'm not sayin' you can't handle your beloved beauties when THEY want you to, i'm sayin' you ain't got a prayer if you're alone when they DON'T.
if you keep anything bigger than you can safely handle alone ( and most of us can't really tell when that time has come), either trade it in for a compact model, or make sure your never alone when you do.
