147BOAS 03-29-2009, 02:30 PM a morph that can be breed to a normal and the hatchling will be the morph
i dont know i know nothing about morphs in ball python i am new at it and thanks for all the info you can give me :yessir:
Tosha 03-29-2009, 02:34 PM Any dominant or co-dom morph will produce morph offspring when bred to a normal. Statistically about half the clutch will be morph.

JOHNS6068 03-29-2009, 03:41 PM I agree with Tosha.....The Bumblebee bred to a normal would could give you 3 morphs Bee's, Spiders,Pastels and even normals...

thank you john
147BOAS 03-29-2009, 03:46 PM yes but would you have to breed a male bumblebee to a female normal or the other way around or dont it matter
JOHNS6068 03-29-2009, 03:50 PM yes but would you have to breed a male bumblebee to a female normal or the other way around or dont it matter
either way it would be the same chances
Tosha 03-29-2009, 03:51 PM Genes are the same -- doesn't matter if they come from the mom or the dad -- but if you had a breeder sized Bumblebee female I doubt you'd be breeding her to a normal male.
JOHNS6068 03-29-2009, 03:54 PM Yeah atleast throw in a nice male pastel and make some killers ...Thats if the Bumble bee is a female
147BOAS 03-29-2009, 04:01 PM thank see i am not the best with genetics
JOHNS6068 03-29-2009, 04:03 PM thank see i am not the best with genetics
I'm not either I'm sure if asked far enough out you'd lose me as well....I enjoy topics like this though :yessir:
Andrew go to RDR matrix page and look under co dom and dom .
Do will reproduce itself 1st geneation with a normal .
Co dom will also and then 2 co doms bred together also produce a super .
The recessive take 2 generations to reproduce themselves .
147BOAS 03-29-2009, 04:05 PM i like the look of the bumblebee also so that might be a good start for me now i have to find one

Larry 03-29-2009, 05:55 PM Hey Andrew, this is what I can produce when breeding my little queenie to normals. All in the same clutch mind you.. This is why multi gene animals are so valuable.

There was a pic released for a short time then pulled from a forum and from the website it came from. Strange circumstances, and now there are rumors that it may be a genetic paradox animal. It was awesome looking for sure. Wish I had saved the pic.

you'll have plenty of opportunity to get your YB's, and maybe even YB pastels from the looks of the ball breeding section so far this season bro.
sit tight for a few months, the world will be your oyster !

Varanus99 03-29-2009, 07:19 PM Andrew I dont know exactly what you have but if you have some normal female and get your hands on a male Bee you have lots of potential with that at a pretty reasonable price.
