I've got to make that switch, due to money. I don't have a Tractor Supply and the local feed store doesn't carry any type of rodent food, although they do carry lots of items to kill them. So, I'm stuck with expensive "pet" mice food from the pet shop.
Before I go to the grocery and search the dog food aisle, does anybody know of a certain brand I should look for? I guess right now I'm looking for 20 or more protein, 10 or more fat, and no red dye.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

If you have a target around you they have the perfect rodent dog food. Its in a 40 pound bag thats around 15.00.It doesn't fall through your mesh and has no dies at all.;)

Its called pet essentials it has 21% protein and 10 percent fat.Your probably in the same situation as me because mazuri cost 25.00 for 50 pouns of food while i can pay 30.00 and get 80 pounds of food. How much were you paying for lab block. It would be perfect if i lived by a harlan teklad mill.

I live near a Harlan Teklad DC. They said that they are not taking any new customers. What??? I have to piggy back with a friend that has been buying from them for a long time. Crazy.

I'll try that next time. I got Iam's Healthy Naturals. They like it but it falls through the rack.

Is that on the contents label or just a hidden item i would never know about? Doesn't anti freeze kill dogs anyway? Why would it be in dog food?

By law all ingredients have to be listed on the product. Starting the most to the least so the first ingredient would be the most on down. If it is used , it would be used as sweetener.

it does in large amounts but they use it to sweeten it and in some foods to keep it soft and they put it under difrent names it not listed as anti freeze

Thats what I meant, a different name I wouldn't recognize. The Iam's I bought is labeled as "no fillers or additives". I hope that means no anti-freeze.

If it has it , it will likely be listed as some kind of Glycol additive.
