Tinker is our new male African bullfrog (aka Pyxie frog). We adopted him from a friend.

"Tink" is about the size of an orange, but could possibly reach the size of a cantalope.

What a name for a critter with the potential of getting near the size of a cantalope. That's like the big fat biker named Tiny :D.

He looks in good health. Watch your fingers around him though

Yeah, it was either Tinkerbell or Augustus Gloop (from Willy Wonka).

I actually opted for Tinkerbell as the perfect name for a large, obese, gluttonous amphibian.

There is something not quite right about a boy called tinkerbell. Ah well, he is a handsome little devil. Did you have to clap your hands and shout 'I DO believe in pyxies, I DO believe in pyxies'?

Congrats on the great new addition!!

Cheers,
Kat

I am pretty sure these guys that sometimes have vegetation grow on thier backs in the wild. Could be wrong but I know there is a frog somewhere that does.

I love pyxies, especially the big fat ones. Last time I was at the East Bay Vivarium they had the BIGGEST male out on the counter and fed him a mouse. Truly awesome frogs, Congrats!
